SPUTNIK (Davisson-J 2019)

SPUTNIK lights up the early season with 8" gently pleated bi-tone blooms that are purple with a lighter lilac purple watermark and sepals. The diamond dusted patterned applique throat often dots out onto the petals. Instant rebloom extends the bloom well into the mid-season where summer heat makes petals gracefully twist and turn. Sturdy scapes are 35 inches with 4-way branching and 18 buds. SPUTNIK is a hard dormant with pretty blue green foliage that is easily fertile both ways. A complex heritage from two seedlings: (ANGELUS BLUE SKIES x MICHAEL DAVISSON) X ((WIND IN THE RIGGING x STILL THE ONE)) x HIGH WATER MARK. Tetraploid.
